In just 6 years, the JD dancers have earned over $500,000 in scholarships from colleges and universities across the USA. Upon high school graduation, our students not only get into top colleges and universities, they are also performing on television, dancing in New York City and Los Angeles, and with professional sports teams.

Just Dance is where dreams are made and stars are born!


Anna Jodka
Saint Anselm College

Anna Jodka began dancing at the age of three and has been dancing ever since. She is now eighteen years old attending her freshman year at Saint Anselm College. She grew up dancing with the owner of Just Dance Complex, Melissa Amershek.

Anna has just become a part of the Saint Anselm Dance Team which will perform dance routines at the football and basketball games at the school. The Dance Team is a combination of hip-hop and jazz, with a bit of pom. The team meets three times a week to work on routines and prepare for the games. These routines are taught by the three captions who are seniors at Saint Anselm College. As a team member, Anna is required to be a part of the Dance Club as well. The Dance Club meets once a week, involving all different types of dance which are also student taught. At the end of the year, the club will perform routines as a recital.

Anna’s passion for dance keeps her motivated as she looks forward to improving as a dancer as well as a person.

Ashley Fraser
Southern New Hampshire University

Ashley is 20 years old and a junior at Southern New Hampshire University, studying marketing. She has been dancing since she was three years old and has had many opportunities to continue her love for dance as she gets older.

Ashley is the Executive Assistant of SNHU Dance and is a member of both the performance and competition teams. She has been a member of the Lowell Spinners Dance Team for two seasons, performing at home games and community events. Ashley is also a member of the Manchester Monarchs Promo Squad, where she will be dancing at various home games, and representing the organization in the community.

Courtney Armstrong
University Of Massachusetts

Since graduating from Just Dance in 2012, Courtney has continued to peruse a career in dance. She joined UMass Dance Ensemble in Fall 2012 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and later went on to become a founding member of the UMass Dance Company, one of campus’s most esteemed and popular dance groups. She performs and choreographs for UMDC.

Although Courtney chose to major in Hospitality and Tourism Management at UMass she continues her dance education by taking classes offered by the UMass Dance Department for non-majors. Courtney also prides herself on being an original member of the Lowell Spinners Dance Team and was promoted to assistant captain in her second year. The Lowell Spinners are a minor league affiliated of the Boston Red Sox. The Spinners Dance Team performs at many of the Lowell Spinners home games and Futures at Fenway, as well as charity and promotional events throughout the North Shore.

Courtney continues to share the passion she learned for dance from the teachers at Just Dance by teaching master classes throughout Massachusetts. She takes pride in helping her students not only understand dance technique but also understanding how to express themselves through dance. Courtney hopes to continue both her performance and teaching careers in dance for as long as possible and to never lose sight of the mission to “Just Dance.”

Kayla Szettella
Bridgewater State University

Kayla began dancing at the age of three and continued dancing at Just Dance when it opened in 2008. While dancing at Just Dance, she competed in numerous regional and national competitions as well as performances for the Boston Celtics. After graduating in 2010, Kayla went on to pursue a degree in Dance Education at Bridgewater State University. During her four years of college she was also an active member of the Bridgewater State University Dance Team, which performed at basketball games, football games, homecoming, pep rallies, as well as fundraisers on campus and throughout surrounding communities. In January 2014, the BSU dance team went on to compete at UDA College Dance Nationals in Walt Disney World, Florida for the first time in BSU history where they placed top ten in the nation.

Before graduating from Bridgewater State in May 2014, Kayla was accepted to the prestigious Merrimack College Fellowship Program where she will be earning her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating from Merrimack College in May 2015, Kayla hopes to become an elementary school teacher and follow her dream of becoming a dance teacher as well.

Molly Jodka
Wheaton College

Molly Jodka grew up dancing with the owner, Melissa Amershek of Just Dance Complex and is now an alumnus of the studio. She is currently pursuing dance as her minor at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts.

As a college junior, Molly is highly involved with the dance department at Wheaton. She is a member of the Wheaton College Dance Company, an elite group of twelve dancers that train in ballet, modern, jazz, and contemporary with master teachers from the Providence Ballet. Training six days a week with the outcome of performing in three shows each semester, Molly desires to continue to grow as a dancer and an individual. Molly is also involved with a multi-cultural and hip-hop group at Wheaton known as TRYBE that also performs once a year.

Molly continues to work with Melissa Amershek by teaching, counseling, and taking classes at New England Summer Dance Camp every summer.

Nikki Mollica
University Of Rhode Island

Paige O'Connor
Dean College

A native of Merrimac, Massachusetts, Paige was a part of the Just Dance Complex since the opening in 2009, where she was trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, and acro. During her time at Just Dance, she had the opportunity to perform for the Celtics and the Radio City Rockettes, and also worked as a teaching assistant for two years. She graduated from Pentucket Regional High School in 2013, and is a current sophomore at Dean College in Franklin, MA. She is a dance major, pursuing a Bachelor of the Arts.

During her freshman year, Paige was a part of several productions for the school of dance, such as Celebrity Cabaret, Freshman Development, and The Dance Team/Synergy Collaboration Show. She has also had experience working backstage as an assistant stage manager for a showing at the Dance Complex in Cambridge, MA, and for Choreographer’s Concert at Dean College.

Paige will be performing in Cabaret: Arts Mosaic and The Faculty Works show at Dean college this fall. She is also a part of the staff at New England Summer Dance Camp, as a camp counselor and teaching assistant. Paige is working on broadening her horizons in the dance world and is ready to take on any new opportunity that comes her way.
